1809年2月12日，阿伯拉罕·林肯出生在肯塔基州哈丁县一个伐木工人的家庭，迫于生计，他先后干过店员、村邮务员、测量员和劈栅栏木条等多种工作。1834年，他当选为伊利诺斯州议员，才开始了他的政治生涯。
当时，美国奴隶制猖獗，1854年南部奴隶主竟派遣一批暴徒拥入堪萨斯州、用武力强制推行奴隶制度，引起了堪萨斯内战。这一激起了林肯的斗争热情，他明确地宣布了他要“为争取自由和废除奴隶制而斗争”的政治主张。1860年他当选为总统。南方奴隶主对林肯的政治主张是清楚的，他们当然不愿坐以待毙。1861年，南部7个州的代表脱离联邦，宣布独立，自组“南部联盟”，并于4月12日开始向联邦军队发起攻击，内战爆发初期，联邦军队一再失利。1862年9月22日，林肯宣布了亲自起草的具有伟大历史意义的文献——《解放黑奴宣言》草案（即后来的《解放宣言》），从此战争形势才开始发生了明显的变化，北部军队很快地由防御转入了进攻，1865年终于获得了彻底的胜利。
此时，林肯在美国人民中的声望已愈来愈高了，1864年，林肯再度当选为总统。但不幸的是，1865年4月14日晚，他在华盛顿福特剧院观剧时突然遭到枪击，次日清晨与世长辞。
革命导师马克思高度地评价林肯说，他是一个“不会被困难所吓倒，不会为成功所迷惑的人，他不屈不挠地迈向自己的伟大目标，而从不轻举妄动，他稳步向前，而从不倒退；……总之，他是一位达到了伟大境界而仍然保持自己优良品质的罕有的人物”。

3.Lee Out All The Rest linkin新专辑mtm中为数不多的极品，其实前奏没什么特别，倒是和in the end 一样，他第一句唱出声就给你苏醒在黎明的感觉，那时阳光未完全醒来，天空也未完全醒来，一切却完全沉浸在清澈冰冷的空气中，稀薄的阳光，冰蓝色透着青紫的天空上泛着美丽清冷光线的星星。他的吟唱，像让你在那时完全苏醒。
4.The Little Things Give You Away推荐它上来完全是因为它的高潮（或者结尾？）部分不错“Little things give you away...”cc的和声跟着节奏旋律感觉非常好，深远辽阔。他们没有那首歌能比的上这一首所达到的空旷感强烈而美丽了。
5.Valentine's Day该怎么说呢？其实和第4首一样，刚刚开始没什么特别的感觉，从“But the heartless wind kept blowing, blowing ”开始就很悦耳了，特别是高潮，值得听听。
6.my december绝对赞啊～From the top to the bottom都很赞啊～自己去体会吧···不过得提醒你，这首歌好像一听腻就会觉得很难听，而且是万劫不复的境地，就是一旦有朝一日听腻不管搁置多久以后再听依旧如此。我和我的好几个同学才听一个月后现在已经···陷入万劫不复了，可能只是我们而已，linkin也只有这一首这样而已。我把第一感觉给你。其实真的是很赞啊。
现在是high一点的歌了。
7.Faint mv拍的很赞，歌也high的很赞。特别是旋律和节奏。而且mike的rap在这里相对linkin以往的歌开始高速起来。依旧是给人井井有条的充实感，舒服。
8.Forgotten high到极点！应该是他们最高速的rap！注意他们！是cc和mike一起rap，事实证明···cc的rap其实很有水准很高调的，而且好像比mike还强劲，更让人兴奋···我万能的cc啊～～～～～～
9.From The Inside，mv！mv！没见过这么帅的cc了！mike的衣服在这里穿的好帅啊···虽然他穿衣一向很有品！！！！！！歌嘛，当然不错。那几句“you”吼的应该会让你很爽吧。
10.papercut还是mv！没见过这么帅的mike和 Rob 了！歌的鼓点打的出彩。
11.Points Of Authority刮碟的那叫个精湛近完美啊～
12.runaway怎么说？刚刚听还真觉得不怎么样吧，很像一些恶俗的摇滚乐，推上来是因为“I gonna run away and never say goodbye Gonna run away, gonna run away”很酣畅淋漓。
13.One Step Closer 怎么形容？反正是它的mv先吸引我，cc和mike在前奏下蹲起身的动作很整齐很帅哦（最喜欢他们跳跃，背很腿挺得很直，很踩节奏，活力四射的样子）歌在此不多说，自己好好领悟，因为我找不到适合的形容词——只剩“好听”二字。
14.With you超赞！也没有形容词！ps，live版本和原版风格不同连歌词也稍有不同哦～都好听都听听，live般的dj简直到登峰造极了！
15.what I've done 听腻了就不行了，好像初听也不行，mtm还没推出时网上有what I've done30秒试听版大家都说不行太一般了，但是完整出来，特别是跟着mv一切全球首播时听了几遍那是众人好评啊，我是狂爱啊。
另外mike的fort支乐队的很多歌也不错，人家主唱也是linkin的主唱所以一并推出咯Believe Me，Petrified，Where'd You Go。

It's Goin' Down这首歌曲是联合公园为唱盘刽子手跨刀制作和配唱的单曲，这首歌曲收录于唱盘刽子手的"从头做起"专辑，此单曲MV也是由联合公园操刀制作。
而此歌曲也在联合公园推出的LP Underground 4.0有组曲Live版本，搭配组曲的歌曲有Step Up（收录于混合理论EP）和Nobody's Listening（收录于天空之城—美特拉）在加上此单曲It's Goin' Down，组合成的组曲歌名叫做Step Up/Nobody's Listening/It's Goin' Down 。

继2004年林肯公园(Linkin Park)与嘻哈教父Jay-Z合作《Collision Course》专辑大获成功后，来自纽约布鲁克林区的说唱嘻哈乐界最成功的超级巨星巴斯达韵(Busta Rhymes)这次也邀请了摇滚天团Linkin Park一同合作。巴斯达曾与许多嘻哈以及R&B歌手合作过，但很少和摇滚乐队同台演出，为了跨出新的一步，巴斯达韵和林肯公园合作了一首新歌《We Made It》，这首歌讲的是一个努力要从街头跻身到上层社会的平凡人的故事，合作的成果正如歌名所示，让双方都很满意。也相当符合Linkin Park给乐迷一贯的正面向上的印象。
说到录制这首歌的过程，林肯公园团员Mike说，“歌曲中我们负责的部分大多是2007年在台北的演唱会前抽空在一间录音室里完成的，当时巴斯达在地球另一端的纽约跟洛杉矶录制他的部分”。巴斯达韵还和林肯公园一起为《We Made It》拍摄了音乐录影带。

期盼已久的传说中的 Linkin Park 新单曲名字确认，叫《New Divide》，该单曲将作为《Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen》（变形金刚2：卷土重来）的主题曲。
5月18日全球同步播出，《变形金刚2：卷土重来》将于6月24日全球上映，同时，该片的原声大碟将于6月23日发行。
在这首Linkin Park专门为**量身定做的主题曲中，虽然有Chester Bennington的愤怒呼喊声，但却没有Mike Shinoda的Rap，所以那些怀念Mike声音的歌迷们还得再等一段时间。
对于这次为**创作主题曲，Linkin Park主创之一的Mike Shinoda曾经在乐队的MySpace上表示：“我们有机会为本年度最值得期待的一部**创作主题曲，这实在是太令人兴奋了。拍摄一支与音乐相配的MV是一回事，但为大银幕制作音乐却是一项完全不一样的挑战，但我们乐意接受这个挑战。”
